The Symposium live show is equal parts staged performance and dialogue with audience members. Which is to say, it’s a conversation.

Yes, we talk to you, the audience. No, it’s not scary. We promise.

What do we talk about? Whatever comes up — Symposium has no predetermined topic and no goal beyond uncovering new, interesting ideas. Starting from prompts as simple as the day’s edition of the newspaper, something that happens just before showtime, or even nothing at all, we put our heads together with yours to get to the bottom of things, both great (What could the term “post-racial” possibly mean?) and small (Why don’t all restaurants offer free refills?).

Every show is different because every audience is different.
